Contagious Usefulness.

Our #1 Goal:
Support the Rules for Contagious Usefulness

  1. Go to users; don’t make them come to you
Most of us don’t have the luxury of having an executive assistant to keep us informed and up-to-date. Push notification acts like an assistant who does the follow-up and communication work for you. Messages and reminders keep you in the loop of change without requiring you to login and check on project progress and activity status. In addition, the desktop at-a-glance view organizes all project status and funnels synchronized updates to your desktop; illustrating only the most important details. And, the instant Project Messenger provides real-time and exclusive communication pathways to your friends, family, or your team. None of these solutions requires the user to spawn a browser and login to a central web site. All of these solutions go out and engage users where they work and live.

  2. Inspire activity by automating an engaging process
Everyday Projects automates activities required to maintain the ongoing and changing status of your projects. The user interface provides at-a-glance automated progress updates whenever you modify the status of an activity, and notification services survey users so they do not have to do anything other than click "ok" or "decline" from time to time. The entire process is fun and easy. And, when working in teams, Everyday Projects passes the baton from one player to the next and enables contagious activity that does not have to be managed.

  3. Communicate in a format that can be transferred to optimize usefulness
All data in Everyday Projects is transferable via digital venues such as Project Messenger, email, and XML files. All communication data is centralized, organized, and archived for retrieval. Easy click-thru wizards help you customize and print project status reports directly from the web and download them to your own computer. In addition, the Integration Wizard can export either individual activities or entire projects to MS Project or MS Excel.

  4. Only communicate what is useful or intriguing to your audience
When using Everyday Projects you can see all our projects in a single view enabling coordinated scheduling and prioritizing. The reminders and notification messages are customizable to meet your needs or your team requirements. In addition, the personalized at-a-glance view gives only you access to your unique project views. Moreover, as Everyday Projects does not require integrating business measurements and standards, the streamlined information you see represents only what you need to know to keep on track and moving forward.

  5. Solicit response and communicate options --
don't make users think for more than 3 seconds

Everyday Projects facilitates a number of user and team processes including; project setup, activity updates, team and facilitator feedback, and instant messaging. These strategic processes keep users moving forward without requiring them to read the manual or clicking the online help feature. By architecting response and communication options into the framework, Everyday Projects solicits needed information while it has the user's attention. In addition, reminders and notification services perform surveys on an ongoing basis so users do not have to open up their projects and update activities.

  6. Don’t over-complicate. The goal is not to build Hoover Dam; the goal is to keep the water flowing
The Everyday Projects team intentionally designed this tool NOT to be a full-scale project management or scheduling program promising to integrate all your organizational needs into one package. The emphasis is on activity and change, not on standardization and measurements. Everyday Projects is designed to be an accessible, easy- to-use tool that consolidates all your projects in one interface, illustrates your progress, informs you when it’s your turn to grab the baton, and reminds you to keep your projects moving forward.
